Following are documents obtained by Colorado Common Cause from Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming open records requests regarding a closed-door meeting organized by Uintah and Garfield Counties in Vernal, Utah on March 27, 2012. The documents demonstrate that local officials coordinated with industry lobbyists and executives to create a political strategy in opposition to a draft BLM plan for oil shale development in the West. This information was released and made available to the public on June 14, 2012.
